Mentoring

This is for the serious student of yoga, and particularly those who want to be teachers.

A deep knowledge of yoga includes knowledge of how to do the practice, an understanding of yoga philosophy and knowledge of bio mechanics and anatomy.  Further, the teaching of yoga is both an art and science, and requires practice, just like the practice of asana itself.

This program bridges the gap between 1) what we learn in yoga classes, workshops, and trainings, and 2) a deepening of our practice and/or honing of our skills as a yoga teacher.

An initial interview will determine your goals, strengths, and weaknesses, and from that you will receive an individualized program.

This program may include any of the following:

  • a program to focus your asana practice

  • a program to study yoga philosophy
  • suggestions on how to study anatomy
  • instruction on basic teachings skills such as:
    • verbalization, giving adjustments, demonstrations, sequencing, and infusing deeper meaning into your teaching
    • an evaluation of your teaching skills with written and verbal feedback.

This program is open to students and teachers from any lineage of yoga, and can be conducted via email, phone, and video.

For more information on the specifics of this program, contact cindy@cindylusk.com
